Spent the night last night at Velvet doing my Thursday night set and talking politics. My set was dedicated to Sarah Palin. (jokingly) Great female musicians who I like lots. Disgusted by the recent Republican Convention, I needed to get it washed out of my brain. Palin was nominated simply to unite the party and if McCain is elected I can only hope he makes it 4 years. Palin is a scary Christian Fundamentalist who will turn back the clock in so many ways.
So I played Peaches, Liz Phair, Soko, Emilie Autumn, Regina Spector, Alanis Morrisette, Pink, PJ Harvey, Ima Robot, Dido, Garbage last night. Felt good and loved it!
